Akhunzada Fazle Haq Mardan
Fazal Hameed Khan has been posted as DIG Prisons, Mardan Region, Home Department.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department, after approving the summary from the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, issued a notification to Fazal Hameed Khan for the appointment of DIG Prisons Mardan Region.
It may be recalled that Fazal Hameed Khan was removed from the post of Superintendent of Mardan Jail on the ground that merit had been violated in the recruitment of the Jail Department under his supervision.
On which the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa set up an inquiry committee from the Home Department and issued an order to investigate the violation of merit in recruitment.
The inquiry committee compiled a report after investigation and declared the recruitments as merit-based.
The Chief Minister did not agree with the investigation report and formed another committee to re-investigate.
After a detailed investigation, he reiterated that the recruitment was in accordance with merit. Meanwhile, Fazal Hameed Khan was promoted from grade 18 to grade 19.
The Prisons Department then sent a summary to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for approval through the Home Department / Chief Secretary.
The Chief Minister approved the summary and the Home Department formally issued a notification for the appointment of Mardan Region as DIG Prisons.
Fazal Hameed Khan is proud of the Prisons Department. He has always performed his official duties with honesty and sincerity. He is serving the prisoners, prison staff and the people as worship.
