Etisalat profit grows 8pc in first quarter

Major shareholder of the Pakistan Telecommunication Limited (PTCL) and the UAE’s biggest telecommunications operator, Etisalat said that its net profit for the first quarter of 2021 increased by 7.9 percent as compared to the same period of the last year.

Consolidated profit after payment of a federal royalty increased to Dh2.3 billion, Etisalat said. Revenue stood at Dh13.2bn, the company said. In the first quarter of 2020, Etisalat announced revenue of Dh13.1bn.—TLTP
