Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal directed to further accelerate development work and asked to contact the federal government for the resolution of electricity, sui gas and other problems being faced by the industrial estates.
He said steps should be taken to identify and resolve the problems with consultation of all stakeholders. The Punjab government is working on the establishment of 13 special economic zones (SEZs), which will change the destiny of the country”, he informed, adding that investment of billions of rupees is coming through industrialization.
Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal was presided over a meeting held to review the pace of development work and industrialization in industrial estates. Chairman Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) Nabeel Hashmi briefed the meeting regarding development work and industrialization.
The provincial minister said that Quaid-i-Azam Business Park is a milestone for industrial development. He said that government is setting up industrial estates on thousands acres in southern Punjab which will bring economic revolution in the region. He directed PIEDMC to work actively for the completion of development work in industrial estates. The PIEDMC CEO, officers, director Punjab Board of Investment and officers of industries department attended the meeting.
