In compliance with the directives of the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), IESCO is providing awareness to consumers about electricity conservation and its benefits. At the same time, a series of actions against electricity thieves who cause irrepairable damage to the country, general Public and institutions are also being carried out in a full-fledged manner.
In the month of April 2023, during the operation of all formulations of IESCO, 2725 meters were identified, which were being used for illegal use of electricity in various ways.
Based on faulty meters and electricity theft, relevant consumers have been charged more than 32.57 millions fines against 1.19 millions units, and requests have also been submitted in relevant police stations for legal action.
