A large number of guests including diplomats, members of civil society and food lovers attended on Sunday the International Food Festival—Taste the World —featuring 29 embassies and their peculiar mouth-watering meals. In fact, a fundraising event organized by the Islamabad Foreign Women Association (IFWA), it was a celebration of culinary diversity and cultural exchange, bringing people together through the universal language of food.
The participating embassies offered a unique and authentic taste through cuisine ranging from savory dishes to sweet treats representing the flavors and traditions of the world.
CEO of Serena Hotel Mr Aziz Boolani and Acting President of the IFWA, wife of the Ambassador of Denmark Ms Fang Wang cut the ribbon along with her team to inaugurate the food festival.
The event coordinators were spouse of the Japanese ambassador Mrs Naoko Wada and spouse of the Belgian ambassador MrsFebienneDelogne.
Taste of the World, a charity event, was the collaborative effort of many embassies, spouses of the ambassadors and diplomats with the participation of the Pakistan Foreign Office Women Association (PFOWA). IFWA and the Serena Hotels have a long history of partnership that aims to make a meaningful impact by raising funds for charity projects that benefit vulnerable groups, especially women and children in Pakistan.
