KARACHI – At least one was killed, and eleven people were injured in an oil tanker explosion near Karachi airport on Sunday night, according to rescue officials.
The injured were taken to Jinnah Hospital and reported to be stable. The blast caused a fire in the oil tanker, which was carrying fuel for the airport, and damaged at least eight vehicles near the area.

The airport was placed on emergency alert, and people inside were asked to stay until further notice. The area around the airport was cordoned off, and a bomb disposal squad was called to the site for further investigation.
