RIAYDH – Saudi Arabia will celebrate Eidul-Fitr on Wednesday, April 10 as Shawwal crescent was not sighted in on Monday.
Eidul-Fitr starts on the first day of Shawwal as the Islamic festival marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Saudi Supreme Court earlier urged people to report sightings of the moon and inform the authorities. Ramadan started on March 11, 2024, during which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.

Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development earlier announced four-day Eid holidays for the private and nonprofit sectors. Muslims in Saudi and other Islamic nations were set to enjoy long holidays on the occasion.
