Faisal Malik calls for enhanced collaboration of both countries on global issues

Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran and Dean of Karachi Consular Corps, Hassan Nourian has emphasized the importance of the recent visit by Iran’s Foreign Minister to Pakistan, noting that it had further strengthened the ties between the two nations.
During a meeting with Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Pakistan Observer Mr Faisal Zahid Malik at the Iranian consulate here in the provincial capital, CG Nourian mentioned that during the Iran FM’s meetings with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, discussions were held on Palestine, regional issues, and joint efforts against terrorism.
Besides the recent visit of Iran’s Foreign Minister to Pakistan, the Iranian CG and Pakistan Observer’s Chairman & Editor-in-Chief also discussed key global and regional issues including the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project and the security situation in border areas between the two countries.
Mr Faisal Zahid Malik highlighted the historical and cultural relations between Iran and Pakistan and stressed that by further strengthening these ties, both countries could play more effective role in regional and global matters.
The Dean of Karachi Consular Corps and the CG Hassan Nourian also discussed the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project, highlighting the Iranian government’s efforts and expressing hope that Pakistan would overcome the challenges it faces, to successfully complete the project.
He emphasized the need for peace in the shared border areas, pointing out the role of foreign agencies in supporting separatist groups.
On the occasion, the Dean of Karachi Consular Corps and the CG Hassan Nourian presented Mr Faisal Zahid Malik with a memento and a valuable book on Iran’s history and culture.
