Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Saturday forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most plain areas of the country during the next 24 hours. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. According to the met office, a westerly wave was also present over western and upper parts of the country.
During the last 24 hours, rain-wind with thunderstorms occurred in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. The highest maximum temperatures were recorded at Sibbi, Nokkundi, Dalbandin 41, Turbat and Rohri 40°C. Meanwhile the local meteorological department here on Saturday forecast mainly hot and humid weather for most parts of the province during next 24 hours.
Scattered rain and thunderstorm is predicted for Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Torghar, Kohistan, Buner, Shangla, Swat, Chitral, Lower and Upper Dir, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Mardan.—APP
