Doctors’ strike enters 34th day

A strike of the Grand Health Alliance (GDA) in government hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa entered its 34th day where number of patients are facing crisis owing to suspension of the services.
Patients facing difficulties as doctors continue to boycott their various services including emergency ones in K P. At Lady Reading Hospital’s Out-Patient Departments (OPD), five to six thousand patients come for treatment on a daily basis, but return disappointed owing to doctors’ strike.
The negotiations to resolve the issues between the GDA and the provincial government have not begun even after a month.—INP
