Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that doctors, nurses and paramedical staff in the medical field in Pakistan especially in Punjab are busy in treating and saving the lives of the ailing humanity suffering from coronavirus without caring for their own lives and we are all with them in this jihad.
He was talking to Lahore General Hospital MS Dr Mahmood Salahuddin on telephone. The governor inquired about his health and wished him well after his recent recovery from coronavirus.
Sarwar while praying for good health and longevity to MS Dr. Mahmood Salahuddin said that Covid-19 is a global epidemic which has affected millions of people across the world and lost many precious lives. The global economy has also suffered irreparable damage with this problem, he added.
The governor said that thousands of patients have recovered from the Corona Virus due to the invaluable services of the medical staff, thanks to the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff fighting on the front line. Chaudhry Sarwar appreciated the efforts of the medical staff and said that the medical staff is playing the role of front line fighter who will be remembered in golden letters in the medical history.
On the occasion, Dr Mahmood Salahuddin thanked the governor and informed him that in the light of the orders of the Punjab government, the best treatment and medical facilities are being provided to the patients affected by corona for which all possible steps are being taken.
Dr Mahmood said that HDU and ICU wards have been allotted in the LGH for patients infected with coronavirus where doctors and medical staff are on duty 24 hours a day. The MS added that the hospital administration is also trying to continue the treatment of patients suffering from other diseases for which arrangements have been also made.
