DG calls for collective efforts to financially strengthen KDA

Director General of Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Syed Shujaat Hussain called for a need for collective effort to financially strengthen KDA, so as to play a key role at all levels for the construction and development of the city. He expressed these views during a meeting with the delegation of House Building Finance Department (HBFD) in his office at Civic Center. In the meeting, mutual issues and further strengthening of ties were discussed in detail.

The HBFD delegation assured DG KDA Syed Shujaat Hussain that payment of maintenance and other dues to KDA will be made as soon as possible. During the meeting, Member Admin Naveed Anwar Siddiqui, Legal Advisor KDA Syed Zahid Ali, Director State Arshad Abbas, Executive Engineer Civic Center Building and other officers were present. Moreover, Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing Town Planning and Public Health Engineering had said that the Sindh government will continue to provide support and cooperation to make the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) a strong and viable civic agency in Karachi. Saeed Ghani, stated this as he met a delegation of the KDA Labour Union led by its patron-in-chief, Muhammad Ashraf. The meeting took into consideration affairs related to the KDA, especially that of its land department.

The Sindh Local Government Minister said that the process to promote to next service grade the officers and staffers of the KDA would soon begin. He assured the delegation that the Sindh government would take steps on an emergency basis to resolve the pressing issues of KDA employees. He appreciated that the PPP’s Sindh government had been working dedicatedly to ensure progress and development of Karachi without any prejudice or discrimination.
