Descon holds moot on professional dev

Descon’s Management Development Center (MDC) recently held a seminar with the aim of empowering their workforce in their career development. The session titled Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework for Professional Growth and Skill Enhancement of Engineers was organized in collaboration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The session, conducted by Engr Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed Sheikh, Additional Registrar/Head, CDP Department, Pakistan Engineering Council, covered CPD Framework, its parameters, as well as the requirements and facilitation for the engineers. The seminar also included a discussion on the role of Descon as a Professional Engineering Body (PEB) that is paving the way for the skill enhancement and professional development of engineers. Talking about the session, Qamar Mannan Head of Planning & Controls, Maintenance Division said, “The PEC session was very informative, for both registered and professional engineers alike. I firmly believe that Descon and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) should join hands and come together for the development of these engineering professionals. I personally look forward to my own professional growth through this platform.”
