Vice-Chairperson Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmood ul Hassan has said in his message on the occasion of Christmas and Quaid day that December 25 is a day full of joy for Muslims and Christians alike. It is also the birthday of Jesus. and the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The festival of Christmas provides an opportunity to promote unity, love and mutual relations. Sharing happiness increases love, brotherhood and sisterhood.
Vice-Chairperson OPC Syed Tariq Mahmood ul Hassan while congratulating the Christian community on Christmas said that the promotion of peace and love is the hallmark of the teachings of Jesus. According to the teachings of Islam, it is our religious duty to respect all the prophets. Belief in all the prophets, including Jesus, is an essential part of Islam.
He said that all the minority communities living in the country have complete religious freedom and equal rights. He said that for the protection of the rights of minorities in Punjab, a coordinator has also been appointed in the special Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission to solve the problems of the overseas minority community.
He said that the services of the Christian community in the development of education, health and other sectors are worthy of praise. To take the country forward, we must promote the culture of patience, tolerance and tolerance. Everyone should work together for the promotion of harmony.
He said that the need for inter-faith harmony has increased in the problems that Pakistan is currently facing. One has to hold the other’s hand. On Christmas, the followers of all religions have to resolve to play their effective role for the development of the country as a true Pakistani.
