Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz on Wednesday hinted at complete lockdown across the provincial metropolis, if the Corona situation continues to deteriorate.
Talking to a private TV channel, the DC Lahore expressed its commitment to complete Mission Sohna Lahore while hinting at lockdown on increasing cases of Coronavirus and non-implementation of citizens’ SOPs. Mudassar Riaz Malik said that they also want to run business and it takes time to control Corona.
“People must use masks, but if people do not comply, they will have to be lockdown. Both Corona and smog are a challenge, people should avoid unnecessary travel, take care of the elderly”, he underscored.
The DC said that the district administration is playing a vital role in making the “Sohna Lahore Campaign” a success in any case. All departments have been made aware of their responsibilities.
As they have been mobilized, every department has to do its job. Sohna Lahore Campaign is different from Charming Lahore and Beautification of Lahore Project”, he concluded.
