LAHORE-  The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has officially dismissed India’s appeal and confirmed that the Davis Cup Tie will proceed in Pakistan.

The ITF’s independent tribunal issued the ruling, emphasizing that the Davis Cup event is slated to take place in Pakistan.

India had previously sought to relocate the Davis Cup Tie, citing concerns related to general elections and security in the region.

However, the ITF had already declined India’s position last month.

Pakistan consistently maintained that the country’s security situation was conducive to hosting the event, pointing out that other teams were actively participating in matches within Pakistan.

The independent tribunal of the International Tennis Federation, in its recent decision, asserted that there were no substantial grounds to alter the venue for the Davis Cup Tie. It deemed the security conditions suitable for the match to proceed as planned.

This marks the second instance in the past month where Pakistan’s position has been upheld, with the independent tribunal confirming in February that India will indeed tour Pakistan for the Davis Cup Tie.

The highly anticipated Davis Cup Tie between Pakistan and India is scheduled to take place next year in early April.
