Cricketers urge citizens to cast votes for best interest of Pakistan

KARACHI – The prominent cricketers including Wasim Akram, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Muhammad Hafeez and many other cricketers have motivated the citizens to come out of their homes and cast their votes on this Election Day for the best interest of Pakistan

The messages from the top cricketers come at the moment when polling process is underway across Pakistan for the country’s historic elections.

Taking to social media, Wasim Akram shared his views about the importance of voting and urged the people to wisely vote to the leaders for the betterment of the country.

Wasim Akram wrote, “February 8 is an important day for people of Pakistan. Somewhere inside us we all want to change our fate, our system and way of life and when we vote we use that power to choose the best. It’s our right, so go out and use that power of vote. Pakistan 🇵🇰 zindabad,”.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the T20 Captain, urged the citizens to participate in the electoral process to elect competent representatives. He also emphasized upon voting, saying that it is the national duty and citizens should come out to cast votes for the best interest of the country.

He wrote, “Voting isn’t just a right; it’s our strength! Let’s vote for a better Pakistan, by the grace of Allah. Long live Pakistan,”.

Muhammad Hafeez, another former captain, shared a photo after fulfilling his civic duty in the General Elections 2024, advocating for a conscientious voting process.

Hafeez was of the view, “The 2024 Election shouldn’t be about mere selection. Let’s ensure we vote for a better Pakistan. To all dedicated Pakistanis, remember, your vote holds immense power. Use it wisely; every ballot matters,”.
