Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the government is running the country’s affairs on ad-hoc basis, creating embarrassing situation even for those who brought it into power in 2018.
Talking to media persons after attending Senate session here on Wednesday, he added the PDM was also equally responsible for the plethora of problems for the country because the two main constituent parties of the opposition alliance also enjoyed power in the past and did nothing for the welfare of the public.
Sirajul Haq said the two parties of the PDM alliance have had their own agenda and it did not seem possible the PPP would sacrifice its Sindh government in the ongoing protest campaign against the government.
“There is no ideological difference between the PTI and the PDM. The JI has decided to stay away from the politics of the both sides and started a campaign to bring real change in the country.”
To a question, the JI chief replied the PTI made it impossible for a common man to even breathe due to its anti-people policies. In two and half years of its tenure, he added, the ruling party had not taken a single step for the welfare of public. The 2020 was even proved fatal for the masses, he said.
Talking about the Kashmir situation, Siraj said the fascist regime of Modi committed every crime against humanity in Occupied Kashmir and the international community displayed criminal silence over the brutality of occupied forces in the held area. In India, he said, the human rights violation was at its peak, turning the entire country as living hell for all minorities.
Later, a delegation of the intermediate (Medical Group) students held a meeting with the JI chief and briefed him about the irregularities in the entry test for Medical colleges and universities. Senator Siraj demanded the government immediately address the concern of the students. He assured the delegation the JI would raise their voice at every forum.
Later, Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla met the JI chief to express condolence with him on the demise of his mother.
