Another tested positive of coronavirus COVID-19 in Attock on Monday raising the tally in district to 51. According to District Attock focal person for Covid-19, Dr Asif Arbab Niazi the new case is a resident of Farooq e Azam colony Attock and has recently returned from UAE.
He said that suspected cases also raised in the district to 1150 while screening of as many as 3574 persons have also carried out across the district till Monday. He said that result of as many as 320 suspects is awaited. He said that present 9 positive patients are under treatment at different hospital while 25 are at different quarantine centers including 9 in quarantine centre Attock, 12 in quarantine centre Fatehjang while four patients are home quarantine. He said that all the positive cases either in hospital or quarantine are in stable condition.
Meanwhile deputy commissioner Ali Anan Qammar has said that among 51 positive of coronavirus COVID-19 in Attock 9 belongs to tehsil Hazro including 5 from village Ghurghusti, one from village Kudlathi and 5 from Tableeghi Jammat, while in teshil Fatehjang, 8 belongs to two different families of city area, one each belongs to Dhurnal, Qutbal, Sharahi Saadullah and Shaheedanwala while two belongs to tehsil Hassanabdal. He added that one each patient belong to thesil Jand and Pindigheab. He said that among positive cases Attock city remains at highest number of patients 25 which includes 9 Iran returned pilgrims, 5 belong to Meharpura.
