A police constable was martyred in firing of unidentified armed men in Muridke district Sheikhupura on Wednesday. Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police taking the notice of incident has sought a report from Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sheikhupura. According to details, unidentified gunmen sprayed bullets at Constable Bilal while he was routine patrolling at Narowal in jurisdiction of Muridke City police station.
The police official was critically injured in the firing and succumbed to his wounds while being shifted to Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital Muridke.
IG Punjab DrUsman Anwar taking notice of the incident has sought a report from RPO Sheikhupura.
On directions of RPO, the District Police Officer (DPO) Zahid Nawaz Marwat has constituted special teams to arrest the culprits.
