Punjab Additional IG (Highway Patrol) Shahid Hanif has said that work on PHP under construction posts in different districts of the province should be completed at the earliest and no delay in funds release will be tolerated.
He said that the patrolling post Kolian Par Quaid-e-Azam Colony Rawalpindi should be made operational as soon as possible and the officers concerned should complete rest of the work within the deadline under their personal supervision. He expressed the views while presiding over a high-level meeting held at Central Police Office here on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by DIG PHP Dr. Abid Khan and SP Headquarters Afzal Nazir along with other officers and staff concerned. Additional IG Shahid Hanif was also briefed about rental buildings under use of PHP.
While addressing the meeting, Additional IG PHP Shahid Hanif said that a request would be made to the Punjab IGP for construction of new PHP posts and release of funds so that best possible environment and facilities could be provided to the force and performance graph could be further improved.
He said that for the convenience and protection of the people on the highways, the PHP officers and volunteers should continue performing their duties with full responsibility and duty without caring for their own lives as protection of the lives and property of the people and selflessness.
