Columnist Ijaz Batalvi paid tribute

The journalist community paid glowing tribute to senior columnist Ijaz Batalvi and said that his services for journalism will be remembered for long.

The Faisalabad Press Club arranged a condolence reference to pay tribute to late Ijaz Batalvi. Group leader Shahid Ali, President GA Tanvir, Secretary Sajid Ali Khan and a large number of participants attended the reference. All the participants prayed to Allah SWT to grant peace and rest to the departed soul of Mr Batlvi.

Speaking on occasion, Shahid Ali said that Ijaz Batalvi was a good teacher for local journalists. “He was very kind and loving personality. His kindness will be missed in every moment.”

He termed him a good writer and a complete journalist who always raised voice of the people rights.

“Ijaz Batalvi was a great analyst among us”, said GA Tanvir and added that the late Batalvi was a role model for so many journalists.

“I have spent a long time with him and he trained on how to make a news story and duty of a professional journalist.”

Sajid Ali Khan said that Late Batalvi was his favourite teacher. He termed death of Mr batlvi as geat loss to the journalism. Lat

e Ijaz Batavi lived in Rasool Nagar area Faisalabad and his funeral was offered at graveyard of Rasool Nagar.

Large number of from different walks of life including journalists, local politicians and civil society activists condoled his death.
