Cold, dry weather expected

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, while very cold and partly cloudy in northern parts during next twenty-four hours Dense fog and smog is likely to persist in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.

Frost is likely to occur at few places in Kashmir and Pothohar region during morning. Temperature of major cities recorded this morning. Islamabad, Murree and Quetta two degree centigrade, Lahore six, Karachi sixteen, Peshawar four, Gilgit minus one and Muzaffarabad three degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula while cold and dense fog in Jammu. Temperature recorded this morning.—INP
