RAWALPINDI – Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir on Friday visited National Counter Terrorism Training Centre (NCTC) at Pabbi and witnessed the Pakistan-China Joint Special Forces exercise Warrior-VIII.

In a statement, ISPR said General Syed Asim Munir called on participants of the ongoing Pakistan-China Joint Exercise as collaborative effort between armed forces and People’s Liberation Army of China.

During his visit, COAS was briefed on scope and execution of three-week-long drills, which marks eighth iteration of the bilateral training series. He also appreciated troops professionalism, dedication, and high morale.

Sino-Pak exercise Warrior-VIII focuses on counter-terrorism operations, and to tackle global security challenges. Both sides will continue drills until end of the month, advancing longstanding military collaboration between ‘Iron Brothers’.

Upon his arrival at NCTC, the top general was received by the Commander of the Rawalpindi Corps. His visit underscores growing defense ties between Islamabad and Beijing and their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region.
