LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the home of Arshad Nadeem, who won gold for Pakistan at the Paris Olympics, to present rewards for his services in the sports.
The chief minister reached his hometown in a helicopter to meet him. She showered praises on Arshad Nadeem for winning the gold medal in the javelin throw category.
CM Maryam Nawaz presented a cheque of Rs100 million and a car as gifts to Hero Olympian. She also promised to build the roads leading to the gold medalist’s village and a hospital, as well as to establish a university in Mian Channu.
Arshad Nadeem has been remained in limelight since clinching the gold medal in javelin throw at the Paris Olympics 2024. This win has not only brought him significant acclaim but also substantial financial rewards.
Soon after he made history at a leading sports event, Arshad was honored with multiple prizes. Karachi’s mayor, Murtaza Wahab, announced Rs5 crore cash reward.
