“The establishment of Parliamentary Development Unit / Parliamentary Development Research Center is a desirable initiative,” said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif while inaugurating the Parliamentary Development Unit / Parliamentary Development Research Centre. She inspected and had a detailed briefing about its role and functions.
Madam Chief Minister was briefed by the authorities concerned,”Parliamentary Development Research Center will support capacity building of the Constituent Assembly.” She was apprised,”It will also support House Committees in performing their functions.”
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was further briefed,”Parliamentary Development Unit will arrange publication of research and other reports. It will also support interpretation of Assembly Rules for the capacity building of Members of the Assembly.”
She was also apprised,”Parliamentary Development Research Center will provide reference and background on the matter under consideration in the House and Standing Committee.”Speaker Punjab Assembly, Provincial Ministers, Special Assistants, Assembly Members and other relevant officers were also present.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday gave approval to start free home delivery services from Model Bazars.
CM was briefed on the Model Bazar Project by the Chairman of Model Bazar Management Company and Member of National Assembly, Muhammad AfzalKhokhar.
Maryam ordered to launch an application for online purchase of products from the Model Bazars. She also called for shifting Model Bazars to the Green Punjab Solar Model.
CM has decided to set up Model Bazars in every district of Punjab where good quality fruits and vegetables will be sold on lower prices.Besides, she also said that the Punjab Government earmarked Rs35 billion for the development of Lahore, adding that the government was working with dedication to provide maximum relief to the people of Punjab.
