LAHORE—The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 92 illegal commercial buildings and commercialization fee defaulter premises during operations in different parts of Lahore on Friday.

LDA Town Planning Wing sealed 35 businesses in Gulberg and Faisal Town, 30 in Gulshan-e-Ravi, Samanabad and the surroundings of Canal Bank Road, and 27 in Allama Iqbal Town.

The sealed premises include Clinix Pharmacy, American Lycetuff, The Educators, Dar-e-Arqam School, JPS School System, private clinic, café, cash & carry, beauty parlor, food outlets, private offices and other businesses.

LDA Chief Town Planner I Assad-uz-Zaman supervised the operations, which were carried out by the enforcement teams with the help of the Police.

As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to the owners of these buildings before carrying out the operations.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against illegal commercial buildings and commercialization fee defaulters in Lahore.
