China’s Xi may visit Russia next week

As early as the following week, Chinese President Xi Jinping might take a more active role in Ukraine diplomacy by making his first trip to Russia and holding his first meetings with Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the president of Ukraine, since Moscow’s invasion.

For the first time since Russia invaded Ukraine, Xi intends to speak with Volodymyr Zelenskiy, according to the Wall Street Journal. The call will probably happen after Xi’s trip to Moscow the following week, the daily reported, citing sources with knowledge of the situation.
