Chicken price likely to fall by Rs200 per kg: Expected new rates

LAHORE – Chicken rate in Pakistan has surged to record high with people urging the government to take measures to control the prices.

Chicken meat is one of most consumed meats in Pakistan. It is popular protein source and is widely used in various dishes across Pakistan. Poultry demands remains high across the year as it is widely used in all kinds of dishes.

One of the key factor behind its higher sales was also affordability but now the chicken meat is getting out of the access of buyers.

Amid all this situation, the federal government has decided to ban export of roasters, a move that would bring the chicken prices down in Pakistan.

Reports said the federal food ministry has prepared a summary in this regard, adding that the chicken rate will fall by Rs200 per kg if it is approved by the federal cabinet.

Chicken Rate in Lahore today

According to official list, the price of chicken mean stands at Rs626 per kilogram in Lahore and adjacent areas.

Expected New Chicken Rate

If the summary is approved, the chicken rate will drop below Rs500 per kg in Lahore and other cities of the country.
