24 commercial plots auctioned for Rs37.94b

On the instructions of the CDA administration, the staff of the enforcement department carried out several operations with the help of the district administration and Islamabad police.

These operations were started illegal constructions were demolished in Jaba Tili area according to reports, illegal constructions were going on on government lands in Jaba Tili suburb of Islamabad on which the staff of CDA Enforcement Department took immediate action.

In addition, operations were also carried out against roadside fruit stalls in Sector G-9 of Islamabad, as a result of which several fruit stalls were removed while a truckload of trespassers was also confiscated.

Similarly, 1 shop in Mohalla Chhajjar area of Bari Imam, 1 shop along the wall of Quaid-e-Azam University, 4 huts, 1 room, 1 wall, 1 concrete wall in Mohalla Bhatti and 3 new rooms in Mohalla Dhaki were constructed the DPC was also demolished.

In addition, 2 illegal rooms built on government land in Sector G-7/2 were also demolished.
It should be noted that the CDA administration has been engaged in operations against the land mafia for the last several months as a result of which billions of rupees of government lands have been relinquished.

Meanwhile, CDA auctioned 24 commercial plots worth about Rs 37.94 billion in a two-day open auction in Islamabad, On the second and last day of the auction, 11 commercial plots were auctioned for Rs. 17 billion 595 lakh 36 thousand 580.

The auction was overseen by an auction committee headed by a CDA member of finance acquired plots as per choice, Chairman CDA appreciated the effective steps taken by the auction committee, transparency and successful public auction.

CDA administration says that the amount received from the auction will be used to further accelerate the city’s development activities, especially the long-stalled development activities will be completed on a priority basis.
