Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s President of Hub district Mir Ali Hassan Zehri on Wednesday said that the duties of the caretaker gov-ernment are bound to hold elections within 90 days as per the constitution. No supervisory arrangement may continue for more than 90 days.
In a statement released here, Mir Ali Hassan Zehri urged complete implementation of the election-related provisions of the Constitution in order to preserve democracy. The government of Pakistan has a responsibility to implement efficient measures to reduce inflation. It is intolerable that the cost of petrol and oil is ris-ing every day. He argued that the price increase on petrol and oil should be stopped. Mir Ali Hassan Zehri has said that it is the duty of the Election Commission to take measures on an emergency basis for the general elections within 90 days.—APP
