Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the Punjab Government will release funds worth seven billion rupees for providing free of cost treatment to the cancer patients for the next five years. Punjab government has given approval to the release of funds for free treatment of cancer patients.
A meeting of cabinet committee of finance and development was held in CM’s Office on Tuesday which was presided over by Minister for Finance Hashim Jawan Bakht and Provincial Minister for Information Mian Aslam Iqbal. The meeting gave approval to the release of funds for providing free treatment to the cancer patients. The meeting also gave approval to disburse pending amount of Rs. 1.16 billion to Novartis Pharma Pakistan. This amount will be released under a supplementary grant. The meeting also decided to extend the agreement with the pharmaceutical company for providing free treatment to the cancer patients.
The chief minister is of the view that only cancer patients and their families could feel pain and agony of this disease and added that this initiative will help to regularly provide free of cost medicines to cancer patients.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the people have rejected the negative politics of the rejected elements because this motherland demands unity and solidarity from us, he added. elements, rejected in the general elections, have no interest in the solution of problems of the people. In fact, these elements want to descend the country into chaos and have totally ignored the national interest. He said that conscious people are sick and tired with the politics of degeneration because they have fully understood that a specific agenda is hidden behind the politics of anarchy.
In a statement on Tuesday, the chief minister said that Pakistan is facing internal as well as external challenges and in these circumstances, any move of dividing the nation for the sake of personal interests would be an imprudent act.
Usman Buzdar said that opposition has no agenda of public welfare. In fact, the opposition parties, which are ideologically opposed to each others, are united for safeguarding their personal interests.
The elements are unnerved because they are deprived of public support, he added. The chief minister said that politics of chaos steps the country backward and there is a need to shun such undemocratic behaviour by adopting a positive approach for the sake of the country. He emphasised that the designs of the elements creating anarchy in the country will never be succeeded and the durable development, attained in a short period of time, will not be succumbed to negative politics. Usman Buzdar said that everyone should play a collective role for the national development and added that stability is essential for development and prosperity.
He maintained that the most transparent government is setting new records of public service while the rejected political elements are bent upon taking revenge from the people by slowing down the development process to take revenge of their failures.
