A 14-year-old boy affected by poliovirus died at Mayo Hospital Lahore, though he was administered vaccine drops, on Saturday. The boy’s death took the tally to three so far by poliovirus in Punjab during the current year so far. According to health officials, the boy belonged to UC-30 of Ravi Town.
Among three deaths from poliovirus two were reported in Lahore. The private TV channel reported quoting its sources that despite administering polio vaccine drops the boy was affected by the poliovirus. As per the National Health Department, the deceased boy was paralyzed from legs and arms due to the poliovirus.
