Bitcoin rallies above $57,000 for first time since May

The cryptocurrency market remained mixed on Tuesday, with the market capitalisation shedding 1.1 percent to reach $2.4 trillion as of 1205 hours GMT.

Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, rallied above $57,000 for the first time since May as traders bet bitcoin would retest the record highs it reached earlier this year.

Bitcoin gained 1.45 percent to reach $57,265 and with this increase in price, the market capitalisation of the biggest cryptocurrency has reached 1.078 trillion.

However, ether (ETH) price shed 2.91 percent to reach $3,458. With this decrease in price, the market capitalisation of ETH has reached $406 billion.—TLTP
