The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has extended the registration date of Class IX by one month. Earlier, the date was fixed till August 31.
According to sources, the decision to extend the date was taken due to corona virus. Only registered students will take the ninth exam next year.
Murad Raas said that once the final date for the opening of the school was decided, all the boarding school teachers would be called for training one week before the opening of the school. All the participants assured full implementation of the SOPs. The Education Minister said that the first few weeks after the opening of schools would be very important.
It may be recalled that on June 30, the Lahore Board had issued a schedule for the registration of ninth class. According to the schedule, the registration fee was set at Rs800 and processing fee at Rs395. Students who register will be able to appear for the ninth class in 2021.
