ISLAMABAD – China reiterated support for Pakistan’s socioeconomic development, clarifying that any attempts to ‘sabotage’ China-Pakistan cooperation will never succeed.

Islamabad and Beijing enjoy time-tested iron brotherhood and both countries pledged not to allow anyone to dent these relations. A new series of terror attacks highlights insurgency but Pakistan and China stand strong with each other.

On Wednesday, a suicide bombing targeted five Chinese nationals and their Pakistani driver in Besham, KP.

Following the attack, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian expressed strong support for iron brother in the fight against terrorism. In a press conference, Jian emphasized Beijing vowed commitment to the safety of Chinese nationals, institutions, and projects abroad, stating that both countries are determined and capable of making terrorists pay the price.

Mr Jian reiterated enduring partnership between both sides, saying no efforts undermine their cooperation. He also highlighted China’s support for Pakistan’s socioeconomic development and its commitment to working together in various fields for the benefit of both peoples.

In a similar development, Pakistani civil-military authority held a high-level security meeting, and renewed pledge to protect Chinese nationals working in the country.
