Band Road Grid Station glitch plunges dozens areas into darkness

Technical fault developed in 220KV Band Road Grid Station, caused seven other grid stations of the city to break down, leaving several areas of the city without electricity for hours on Thursday.
The breakdown caused multiple problems for not only the residents of areas in the surroundings of Bund Road Grid Station, but other areas including QurtabaChowk, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Riwaz Garden, Syedpur and Iqbal Town.
Sources informed that the breakdown occurred due to tripping of transmission.
