Speaking at “The Future Summit” held at a local hotel, UAE Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi emphasized the importance of opening doors to foreign investors by issuing free visas to encourage investment in Pakistan. Highlighting Pakistan’s strong support for the UAE during challenging times, he stressed, “We always welcome foreign investors with open arms, and Pakistan should do the same by providing free visas to attract investors.” Al-Remeithi praised Pakistan’s youth for their hard work abroad and urged for the creation of local opportunities. “Pakistan’s large young population is a valuable asset. While many work tirelessly overseas, there’s a need to offer them opportunities at home,” he said. He added that making investors’ arrival memorable, from the airport to the hotel, could enhance Pakistan’s reputation. Drawing on the UAE’s success, Al-Remeithi credited the guidance of the UAE’s founding leaders, whose teachings helped the nation prosper. He noted that the UAE’s progress owes much to its youth—a principle that could benefit Pakistan as well. He also pointed out that Pakistan’s skilled workforce has earned global recognition, especially in agriculture during the Musharraf era. Al-Remeithi concluded that economic stability in Pakistan requires collective efforts, as no government can achieve it alone. He also hinted at future investments in Sindh’s energy sector, reflecting a positive outlook for economic partnerships.
