Bahria medical and dental college convocation 2021

Convocation of batch 1 and 2 of Master in Philosophy (M Phil), batch 7 and 8 of MBBS, batch 4 and 5 of BDS and batch 2, 3 and 4 of BS Nursing took place at Ibn-e-Sina Auditorium, Bahria University Medical & Dental College, Karachi.

Rector Bahria University, Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat HI (M) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Director General, Vice Admiral (R) Khalid Amin HI (M), Registrar Bahria University, Dean & Principal and Vice-Principal of Medical College, Prof. Dr. Ambreen Usmani and Prof. Dr. Khalid Mustafa, Principal & Vice-Principal of Dental College, Prof. Dr. Wahab Buksh Kadri and Prof. Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi, along with faculty members attended the ceremony.

After the welcome address by Director General BUMDC, degrees were conferred by the Chief Guest followed by Oath taking ceremony of MBBS and BDS students performed by Dean Health sciences Prof: Dr. Ambreen Usmani.

Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat HI (M) accompanied by Director General, Vice Admiral (R) Khalid Amin HI (M), awarded degrees to M Phil, MBBS, BDS and BSN graduates.

Subsequently, certificates of merit and medals were presented to the position holders. A total of 455 graduates were awarded degrees, out of which 248 physically received degrees at the convocation, while 207 received degrees in absentia.

In his address, Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat HI (M) complimented the parents of the graduating students.

He congratulated the graduating students for completing preliminary studies and urged the graduates to pursue higher qualification.

Furthermore, he emphasized that Convocation is an important milestone, as it marks beginning of their professional careers, and social responsibilities.

He further elaborated that health professionals have a direct impact on the lives of common man, and shapes up the well-being of society. He wished the graduating students well in the future endeavors.

Following students were awarded Gold Medals in their respective academic programs: M. Phil Batch (2015-2019): Qurat Ul Ain Javaid (Anatomy), Mehtab Munir (Pharmacology) and Shaista Bakht (Microbiology) M. Phil Batch (2016-2020): Maryam Faiz (Anatomy), Mamoora Mirza (Pharmacology) and Sayher Kazmi (Pathology) MBBS (2015-2019): Mushahid Hussain MBBS (2016-2020): Hafiz Muhammad Motsim Tariq BDS (2016-2019): Farheen Anwar BDS (2017-2020): Fatima Zahra BSN (2015-2018): Salma Javaid BSN (2016-2019): Sana Sultan BSN (2017-2020): Kainat In the end Director General, Vice Admiral (R) Khalid Amin HI (M), presented the convocation souvenir to the Chief Guest Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat HI (M) as a token of appreciation for gracing the occasion with his presence.

The ceremony finally ended with photo session of graduates with Chief Guest and other fraternities.
