Badminton star Palwasha vows to train youngsters

The Sports Cube Badminton Academy recently conducted a 4-day free badminton camp in which over 45 youngsters of age group 7-14 years took part at the Nazimabad Gymkhana.
It was organised for the first time under the guidelines of Badminton Asia Shuttle time development program led by internationally qualified referee Dr Sayid Akif Jaleel and by Narmeena Ali at junior level.
Later, at the closing ceremony top national stars including Iftikhar Hussain, Palwasha Bashir, Ali Mehdi and Abdullah spoke to the youngsters and encouraged them to train hard for better future. Brilliant badminton player Palwasha vowed to train the youngsters at grass level and appreciated the camp organisers for conducting the programme.
Sports for Life supported the programme and its CEO Shezad Kazi welcomed the initiative of Dr. Sayid and Palwasha to offer their services for training the youngsters.—Agencies
