Under the leadership of DG Khan District Police Officer Umar Saeed Malik, the district police have been striving hard to protect the life, honour and property of the common man.
For effective eradication of crime from the society, zero-tolerance policy is being pursued against anti-social elements especially Ladi gang.
The district police, with timely actions, have broken the back of Ladi gang and the gang has almost been wiped out from the area.
According to details, under the supervision of DPO Umar Saeed Malik, through a well thought-out strategy, the law enforcement agencies have managed the arrest of sixth important member of the Ladi gang namely “Chakar alias Chakri.”
According to police, Chakar, son of Siddique, caste Kharo, a resident of Andar Pahar surrendered himself to the police.
Chakar Kharo has been wanted in 10 cases of heinous nature including murder, dacoity, snatching and shootout by the Kot Mubarak Police and BMP Police Station Cement Factory.
DPO Umar Saeed Malik said that Chakar has also been nominated in the case of mutilation and brutal murder of a man named Ramzan while 9 more cases are also registered against him in the district.
He said that since May 25, six key members of the Ladi gang have been arrested while their seventh member Noor Mohammad alias Noora was shot dead by his accomplices during a shootout.
He was the brother of Chakar Kharo, the police chief informed and added that thanks to effective supervision and untiring effort of the district police, key members of this criminals gang have been eliminated.
He pledged that operation will continue till the last member is arrested. RPO DG Khan Capt (retd) Faisal Rana while praising DPO Umar Saeed Malik, directed that the operation launched on the orders of the Prime Minister, the Punjab Chief Minister and IG Punjab will continue until its goals achieved.
