The period for the submission of applications to the district election commissions for monitoring the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan scheduled for Feb. 9 will end today, Feb. 4, Azeri media Trend reports Monday.
An Azerbaijani citizen who has an active suffrage (on his own initiative, or the initiative of a registered candidate, political party, block of political parties, an NGO operating in the field of elections) is entitled to apply for monitoring the polls exercise. Snap polls will be held on Feb. 9, 2020.
Meanwhile 60 European monitors have reached Baku for overseeing the holding of elections from districts to central levels. Azeri elecion commission has ensured electoral participation to both male and female voters.
