LAHORE – National cricketer Azam Khan withdrew from the Lanka Premier League, the sources close to him said on Tuesday.
The sources said that Azam Khan had not applied for the NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the Lanka Premier League.
They said that national cricketers are prioritizing major leagues due to the “2 Leagues Policy,” and Azam Khan would be playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and ILT20.
In the Lanka Premier League, Azam Khan was picked by the Kennedy team.
The sources also said that Azam Khan did not send an application yet for the CPL and would apply for the NOC for the CPL, which starts on August 28, within this week.
They said that Saim Ayub had only applied for the NOC for the CPL, but a decision on Saim Ayub’s CPL application has not been made yet.
