Director Agriculture Extension Gujranwala Chaudhry Javed Iqbal said that a five-year program has been launched in 15 districts of Punjab including Sialkot at a cost of Rs6.32 billion for the promotion of profitable cultivation of paddy under the Prime Minister’s Agricultural Emergency Program.
He expressed these views while addressing an awareness seminar on “Mega Farms Day” under the National Paddy Plan at Anwar Club Auditorium organized by the Agriculture Extension Department, Sialkot.
DC Sialkot Zeeshan Javed, Assistant Commissioner Suleiman Akbar, Director Farms and Training Director Muzammil Hussain Kahlon, Director IPM Rice Research Institute Dr Arshad Makhdoom, Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Abdul Sami Tahir, Chaudhry Sarfraz Ghman, Farmers and enumerators from all the four tehsils of Sialkot participated in large numbers.
