Deputy Director General of the Vector Borne Diseases Sindh Department of Health, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed has said that by creating awareness, providing accurate information and cautiousness can help a lot in prevention of spread of dengue fever. Speaking during a “Dengue Awareness” session held at the Iqra University North Campus on Tuesday, he said that dengue symptoms include fever, headache, joint pain, muscle pain, and a decrease in white blood cells. It is crucial to act on the precautionary measures issued by the Sindh Health Department to effectively control diseases like dengue and prevent their rapid spread.Director Campus Iqra University North Campus, Professor Syed Ali Raza emphasized the importance of education in public health, promoting awareness, and encouraging students to actively participate in safeguarding the health of the community.
He mentioned that the Health Sciences department of Iqra University North Campus would continue to organize awareness sessions, seminars, and workshops in the future to educate young Students so that they are well-prepared to face any health challenges in the future.
HOD Dr. SaadSaleem, an expert in physical therapy, stressed the immediate need for management and treatment of dengue fever. Understanding dengue symptoms, seeking medical assistance, and adopting precautionary measures to prevent mosquito bites are crucial steps in dealing with this disease.
