Attock police chalk out security plan for Eidul Azha

The Attock police have chalked out a comprehensive security plan for Eidul Azha under which over two thousand police personnel will be deployed at worship places including mosques, Imambarghs and important buildings.

District police spokesman Tahir Iqbal while talking to newsmen here on Friday said that as many as 35 sections of elite force would also perform security duties. He added that besides worship places, security personnel would man important buildings to thwart any untoward incident.

He said police would guard as many as 377 worship places during Eid prayers including 329 mosques, 20 Imambargahs, 20 open places and two worship places of Ahmedi community. He said that all types of leaves for police officers have been canceled for Eidul Azha. He added “we have to sacrifice our happiness for the sake of providing the community the happiness and calm environment. It’s our responsibility that must be fulfilled under any situation”.

Responding a question, the spokesman said that security plan has been chalked out in collaboration with the district administration and other law enforcement agencies, adding that elaborated measures have been chalked out to ensure peace and tranquility.
