As per the meeting of Punjab Cabinet held recently, Atif Bajwa has been appointed as the President of the Bank of Punjab (BOP).
The meeting was Chaired by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, to discuss a 19 point agenda, which included the appointment of president of the Bank of Punjab and upgrade of different posts on the recommendations of committee headed by the additional chief secretary.
It has been confirmed that Atif Bajwa, the former President, CEO & Executive Director at Bank Alfalah, is confirmed as the bank’s new President.
Atif Bajwa is a veteran banker who has remained President & Chief Executive Officer of MCB Bank Ltd., President & Chief Executive Officer at Soneri Bank Ltd., Regional Head-Central & Eastern Europe at Citibank NA (Bangladesh), Manager at RBS Pakistan, Chairman for Pakistan Business Council and President of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry in addition to his last association, which was with Bank Alfalah.
