Speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Saturday said that he acknowledges there is inflation in the country but the current government is not responsible for it. Addressing a rally after the inauguration of gas and other development projects in Swabi, the speaker blamed past governments for the current situation of the country.
Asad Qaiser added that development projects worth billions of rupees are underway in Swabi and announced to bring package for agriculture. He added that government approved 220kva grid station worth Rs11 billion, which will end load shedding in the district.
Speaker claimed that for the first time Pashtuns are part of the government. He also criticized Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman and urged him to make his son resign from the assembly if current government is ‘selected’.
Earlier Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser Tuesday said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a game changer not only for Pakistan but the whole region.
He said the CPEC had enormous potential to reshape the economic outlook of the regional states. He said the present government strongly believed that socio-economic development of all the provinces was imperative for development of the country. He said that development of tourism potential would attract foreign tourists giving a boost to the economy of the country through job creation and business activity.
He said the CPEC had provided opportunity for Pakistan to become a logistic and economic hub for South Asia, Central and Western Asia, Middle East and Western China.
