LAHORE – In an inspiring journey from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to becoming the pride of Pakistan, Areej Chaudhary, Miss Pakistan World, is making waves in the worlds of beauty, modeling, and acting, proving that success comes to those who work diligently towards their dreams.
Born on May 7, 1997, Areej initially pursued her education in Jeddah at Springhill International School before returning to Pakistan to complete her O Levels at Bloomfield Hall School. She then chose to study Psychology at Comsats University in Lahore. Her interest in the modeling field began when photographers and the fashion industry started approaching her. She focused on completing her education and took modeling offers seriously.
Her father, heavily invested in business, owns translation companies in Dubai, UAE, and Qatar, named Mikdoss Translation & Langspark Translation. Areej, the youngest of the family, has two elder brothers, Shah Hassan Chaudhary, a cosmetologist in Islamabad, and Muhammad Hussain Chaudhary, who runs the family business of Translation Services. She also has a sister, a designer, married in Multan, Pakistan.
While residing in the Bani Gala area in Islamabad, Areej remained dedicated to her projects in Lahore. She learned about the Miss Pakistan World pageant, the first Pakistani pageant to establish itself in Lahore. In her words, Areej stated, “I never knew that I would get the title. I was a bit tired of the Covid-19 news and had time, so I applied to the Miss Pakistan World pageant. I finally got the call, and they said they were interested but needed a professional pageant shoot. I had no idea, as in Pakistan, there was not a huge concept of evening gowns, as we have our own designer dresses. So, in July 2020, I completed my first pageant shoot. On the 25th of August 2020, the Miss Pakistan World Organization announced me as the winner, and my news went viral. That was the first time I was reported in the news as the first Miss Pakistan World chosen from the soil of Pakistan.”
Born to a Kashmiri mother, Areej’s looks were considered a blessing. She went on to represent Pakistan in the Miss Earth 2020 pageant, Miss Global 2022, and Miss Eco International 2022. She was the first contender at the Miss Global 2022 pageant and still aims to participate in more international pageants in the coming year.
After completing her studies, modeling work, and pageant work, Areej moved to Karachi to pursue her acting career. Her first break was the drama “Maahi” on LTN Channel, followed by “Sitam” on Hum TV, “Sirat-E-Mustaqeem” (Episode 10) & “Wo Paagal Si”, “Makafat”, “Inteqaam” & “Dhikhawa”, and “Oye Motti” . She also got busy with movies and completed four movies by 2023: “Andkaar,” “Aar Paar,” “Dhaai Chaal,” and “Jinna Teri Marzi,” which will be released soon in 2024.
These days, Areej is busy signing new projects and spends her time either traveling or horseback riding. She is also a trained shooter, which helped her land the role of a Pakistani agent in the movie “Dhaai Chaal.” Her love for animals and horses has made her the ambassador for the first animal shelter in Lahore, JFK Animal Shelter.
She continues to visit hospitals to bring smiles to the faces of cancer patients and has contributed her time to the Indus Hospital in Karachi, as well as the Sundus Foundation in Lahore.
Areej said, “My journey started with Miss Pakistan World, and that gave me the confidence to move ahead. Step by step, I am always aiming to go forward in my career. From modeling to pageants to dramas and now movies. Throughout all this, my family has been very supportive, and hence, the last three years have been blissful. I am looking forward to what the year 2024 holds for me.” She is focused on her growing career in the film industry of Pakistan as well as joining more international pageants. Areej Chaudhary continues to inspire as she takes each step forward in her remarkable career.
