Govt must accord special attention to the miseries of the people living in Attock district which is playing a vital role in making the defence of Pakiatan strong and also contributing to its power sector. Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam has said this in a letter written to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Malik Amin has apprised Prime Minister about the importance of the important role of this district in making the defence of Pakistan strong as Pakistan Ordnance Factory Sanjwal and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex are established here while Ghazi Barotha Hydro Power Project is contributing to national grid.
In his special letter he has apprised the premier that Although Attock district is a hub for defence related industries and power sector and people of this district have always rendered sacrifices for these projects and will do the same in future if needed yet there is no job quota in these projects for the locals in any capacity.
Malik Amin has further remimded the prime minister that being the only district lying on the conflu9ence of motorway and GT Road, having excellent communication skills as well as skilled labour force, Attock is ideally suited for establishing SEZ (Special Economic Zone) as Pakistan Air Force is already working on a proposal at Kamra Cantt and needs your attention to speed up work on it. Malik Amin Aslam has further approsed Imran Khan this this districr is rich in oil and gas sector and almost 12 oil and gas companies have been working here since decades.
These companies are earning billions but not fulfilling constitutional obligations as neither giving job to the locals, nor giving gas facility.
